Alan initially obtained a building diploma and was previously employed as a Quantity Surveyor. He joined Whitby and Chandler in 1971 in the Commercial Sales Office. Alan progressed through the company to Commercial Manager and then settled in the position of Moulding Shop Manager. Alan has over 40 years experience in the industry and has picked up a vast amount of practical knowledge.

Alan has worked in all areas of the company but now focuses on the Rubber Moulding Division - his role in the moulding division has enabled him to develop a wide knowledge base in the following areas:

• All Rubber compounds
• Moulding Procedures
• Tool Design

Alan also deals with new and existing customers to discuss new projects as well as making general visits in order to keep relationships strong.
