Glass Fibre & Textiles

Glass Fibre is manufactured from air-textured filament ‘E' Glass Yarns, providing a high volume of entrapped air and consequently good thermal insulation. The basic fibres are lightweight, resilient, incombustible and suitable for operation in applications up to 550°C. Other properties include medium thermal conductivity and resistance to oils, most chemicals and solvents. The material is also unaffected by bacterial growth and will not rot.

Typical applications include Boiler and Furnace Door Seals but contact with live steam should be avoided.
